Knowledge Management
My primary focus is personal knowledge management (PKM) that benefits myself and that would be useful to share with others. However, I also have major efforts that extend that scope to my family as well as my personal agents as part of my PKM system.
- Personal (PKM): Vocabulary, taxonomy, ontology, knowledge graph, tools, and resources.
- Family (FKM): What family needs to know and do when I'm not available.
- Agent (AKM): What agents need to know and do (context, memory, skills, procedures) to support my efforts and workflows.
- Knowledge System Architecture (KSA): Technology, tools, and examples.
My extensive expertise and experience with large enterprises throughout my career indicate this same approach to knowledge management also applies to communities, groups, small businesses, and large organizations. However, enterprise knowledge management is not the orientation for my current efforts even thought I recognize there are many parallels.
Digital Garden
I have multiple Obsidian vaults in my PKM system with my Ideaverse being my main personal space for thinking, linking, reflecting, and writing. It's based on all that I have learned from Nick Milo and Linking Your Thinking (LYT) over many years (and highly recommended).
I also have a WarrenWeb vault for linked notes that I share via a Obsidian Publish website (WarrenWeb Notes) that complements my Ghost website (WarrenWeb Blog), as well as GitHub Pages and repository for my PKM Vocabulary.
This allows me to publish early content under development; later some may be published to my Ghost blog site and distributed to subscribers via newsletter.
- Knowledge ("what & why"): Active concepts, topics, ideas, and apps — What I "know" ... or things I'm exploring.
- Time ("when & where"): Periodic notes, planning, logging, journal, review with support and visual tools.
- Action ("how & do"): Active efforts, projects, experiments, activities — what I'm currently "doing" (my present focus or attention). Workflows, routines, habits, procedures, skills, scripts, agents, shortcuts, automation.
Feedback
My Ghost website has a comment feature that is enabled for any logged-in subscriber (free or paid), but it's not available to other visitors to minimize spam and bot usage. In that case, comments may be entered at the bottom of any post or page on the website (such as this one), as well as newsletters where you can comment or indicate you want to see more or less like that, as well as reply via email.
Since Obsidian notes are published on this website from my WarrenWeb vault, there is no capability there to provide comments, make suggestions, or ask questions. However, I do have that ability on my GitHub repository where you can ask questions, create discussions, request new features, or report issues like bugs.
Although it was established to support my PKM Vocabulary, it supports all the associated websites: GitHub, Obsidian, and Ghost. So please feel free to use that channel for your feedback, and just select the appropriate place in the dropdown list for "Where did you run into this?" for the bug report or feature request forms. Then you can select "Which part?" to identify an option for the specific area that it applies to.
- Issues: Report a bug or problem
- Discussions: Ask a question, create a discussion, suggest a capability or improvement, or view general information, announcements, ideas, polls, or answers.
