New notes enter my Obsidian vault in the Add (+) inbox folder. They are processed using views in workflows that integrate them into main ACE folders.

Temporary folders

Creating temporary folders within my inbox helps me focus while I work with these new notes. It's quite common that I refactor and link new notes into a cluster of related atomic notes. This simplifies the chaos somewhat and calms my mind without being distracted by a long list of new notes in default alphabetical order.

Focus

I use Focus Folders to keep my attention on what I'm actively working on. This enables me to see the major groups of notes that I'm creating, linking, and refactoring. Then it becomes easier to process them when it's time to integrate them into my main ACE folders.

Greenhouse

While I'm just getting started with my digital garden, I may tend to keep these temporary Add folders around a bit longer, but in my private Ideaverse vault I clean out my inboxes every day. For now, treating my Add inbox like a greenhouse as an idea incubator allows me to focus on the workflows that make sense for this new digital garden.

Reviews

I review the Add Inbox in my Day Review, and process them during my Week Review. When these notes are ready, I mark them to publish the next time I push new changes to WarrenWeb Notes on my Obsidian Publish website.
