Drafts - URL Actions

Obsidian provides a URL scheme that allows you to create a note in your vault, including tags. However, this opens the Obsidian app to process the action, which may not be desirable behavior.

There are several other Drafts actions in the directory to use URL and/or File actions to create Obsidian notes, but I didn’t feel any were appropriate for me. I wanted to focus initially on creating notes for a vault based on Ideaverse Pro from Linking Your Thinking by Nick Milo that generates Obsidian properties (up, created, and tags) in YAML front matter, and added a note/draft tag to enable subsequent workflow processing using special views in Obsidian. Also, I wanted this action to be available for those without a Pro subscription who could not edit the actions to customize the vault, folder, etc.

Using a File action with a bookmark avoids this problem because it writes the file directly to a bookmark folder, which doesn’t open the Obsidian app.
