Drafts - Share
I can share my draft with selected apps via the share sheet.
Shortcuts
I can also select shortcuts to process my drafts. It presents all the Shortcuts that can accept input from a Share Sheet. These shortcuts can use the draft with apps not directly supported by Drafts.
For example, I might use Actions for Obsidian so that all its extensive Shortcut actions for Obsidian could be used to process my drafts; I will include many examples where I do that. Or I might want to process my drafts for other apps like Bear, Ulysses, DEVONthink, etc., especially where I might want to perform some workflow integration across apps.
Note that this is different that using Drafts Shortcut actions that was described earlier. Actually all of these actions can be combined together in Shortcuts, when appropriate.
I might use Draft actions to Create (or Dictate) a new draft and then use Actions for Obsidian to Create a Note in Obsidian, rather than the Drafts File action with an iCloud folder bookmark (in my Add to Obsidian action).
Or I might use a Drafts action that simply runs a shortcut that uses Actions for Obsidian to create the Obsidian note. There’s a lot of flexibility available with these options.
